What's The Point Of This Website?

Most people now a days have insurance, but it is extremely common that most kids, and even some adults, barely know what it is and how it works. As a junior, going into my senior year, learning about insurance was the last thing on my mind. I was more focused on when my next AP U.S history test was, or if I will or will not get into the college of my dreams (Florida State University). After talking to Mr. Honsa, stressing and ranting to him, he tried to show me the big picture. I asked him "Why do we even come to school? I am never going to use this stuff in my life". I also told him how I have no knowledge about things like how to buy a home, how to raise a family, or what insurance even was. I told him I was stressed about the real world, and how I thought we should be learning about that instead. After discussing with multiple of my peers, none of them also knew what insurance was, and how it works, Mr. Honsa put me to the task of making a website, informing everyone how it all works. I call it "Insurance For Dummies."
